Kendrick Lamar GQ Style Magazine Cover

GQ already revealed that Kendrick Lamar would be the cover story for its Style holiday issue. To make the feature a bit more interesting, the popular men’s interest publication produced a video where the West Coast rapper gets interviewed by legendary music producer Rick Rubin. In it, Lamar expands on his To Pimp a Butterfly album, studying Eminem as a child, and entertaining the idea of possibly doing an album where he doesn’t rap. Imagine that.

Alongside with being the cover story of course, is the pictorial that comes along with the honor. On the front page you have K. Dot with a serious look donning a luxurious fur coat. The full spread also sees the Good Kid, M.A.A.D City rapper in a bevy of other statement outerwear from brands such as Burberry, Michael Kors, and MP Massimo Piombo to name a few. Scroll through some of the images from the shoot above and let us know if you yourself would be interested in a non-rap album by Kendrick.

GQ Style will be available on newsstands in New York and L.A. on Tuesday October 25, and will be available nationally on November 1.
