“Tally”, Yusuf Salisu Akafi is a young Nigerian musician. Born on the 7th of May 1986, he has been working on his own style of music, which he use as a medium to tell his stories to his fans.

 

Secondary school brought out the music in Tally, who ended been a choirmaster for his school. He was a member of a group called ’40Fide’ at school where he rapped, and later on joined another group called Crytals Family and ended up in SoulFlame, the rap division of YWAP(Youth With A Purpose) where he solely developed himself as a rapper. He studied Urban and Regional Planning at the Federal University of Technology Minna where he graduated.

 

Come 9th of December 2016, he’ll be releasing new materials from his arsenal that includes;

 

Wai’yo: A song Inspired by the feelings of depression and suffering in our present day society; Nigeria to be precise, wai’yo is a song that expresses pain and neglect.

 

Turn it Up: This’s a happy song, a kind of song that will make you want to jump up and dance to the fusion of jazz and Pop sound.
