iphone 6s crashing Give it up to youtubers to make a video on how to crash an Iphone!  I swear somewhere out is a youtube video were North Korea are watching to learn how to build their reactor lol…  Bad news for iPhone users with envious frienemies , there is a new video that shows people how to crash an iPhone by sending them a text that contains emojis.

The video was uploaded by the popular YouTube prankster EverythingApplePro. In the video, he showed how a random collection of text messages can cause an iPhone to crash and reboot. The text string is composed of a waving white flag emoji, a zero, a rainbow, and a variation selector, which is a hidden Unicode character that can be copied into an iMessage. Sending the message isn’t as easy as typing the characters because you have to log into the web version of iCloud, paste the special VS16 character into the online Notes app, then open the saved string on a phone and share it as a text message.  Hmmm come again?

If you send all four of the characters at once, the recipient’s device will freeze immediately — and I mean immediately! They don’t even have to open the message.

After three to five minutes of being frozen, the phone turns back on, and everything’s fine.

How to protect yourself?

The easiest way to protect yourself, therefore, is by updating to the latest version of iOS.
