sonsofcaliphates1eEbonyLife TV has a new series on the block and it is Sons of the Caliphate, a drama series based on the lives of three friends; rich, entitled, passionate and ambitious young men, Kalifah, Nuhu and Diko.  And I must say, this is first movie that will make some Nigerian Christian feefle to watch a northern/muslim themed film, thereby showing the real culture of the north, making NIGERIA great again.

All three are caught up in the hidden corners of power, the darkness of addiction, the heat of love and desire, the obligations of family loyalty, and the craving for revenge.

“Game Of Thrones” Makes Emmy History

Game of Thrones has won more Emmys than any primetime series in television history. With wins on Sunday night in Outstanding Writing, Outstanding Directing, and Outstanding Drama, the show now has 38 Emmys. It surpasses NBC’s Frasier, which held the previous record with 37 Emmys by the end of its 11-season run. Saturday Night Live is now the only series with more total wins (44) than Game of Thrones.

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7: HBO Confirms Shorter Episode Count

HBO has confirmed that “Game of Thrones” Season 7 will consist of seven episodes, set to shoot later this summer. As Variety first reported, executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are eyeing two shortened seasons to end the hit fantasy show, with Season 8 expected to be somewhere between 6 or 8 episodes. Production will be based in Northern Ireland, with additional portions filmed in Spain and Iceland. Season 7 is slated to premiere in summer 2017, later than its usual April start date.
