Refineries ‘to produce 10m litres of PETROL daily’

Nigerian refineries have been “repositioned” to produce 10 million litres of premium motor spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, daily, Ibe Kachikwu, minister of state for petroleum resources, has said. It is estimated that Nigeria consumes 35 million litres daily, which means the country will now be importing only 25 million litres to meet local needs. Senate gives Buhari 2 weeks to end fuel scarcity

The Senate yesterday ordered President Muhammadu Buhari who is also the Minister of Petroleum Resources, to end the fuel crisis within two weeks. Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream), Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife (PDP, Anambra Central), gave the ultimatum during a meeting with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja. #Fuel Scarcity Fuel Scarcity is back once in a country that other countries depend for fuel! Despite assurances by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) that all will be well soon, operators are skeptical that the fuel scarcity may hit harder, Premium Times reports.
