Junior achievement Nigeria Trade fair took place at St. Louis Girls College, Jos. It is a competition between different schools’ companies. That is between the junior achievement companies of different schools. The best or winners of the competition would go on to Abuja and compete at the national level.
The event started at 10:22am Thursday, 2nd July 2015. It began with an opening prayer from the head prefect of one of the schools present. After that the National Anthem was sung. The MC Mr. Awom Kenneth then came on to the give a brief history of Junior achievement Nigeria and also stated the mission of the organization. He welcome the judges of the competition and special guests to the high table. All the schools present were also welcomed. There were nine schools present and they are: Baptist High School, Federal Government College Jos, TCNN ECWA Comprehensive School Itan, Starlet High School, Naraguta Grammar School St. Theresa Girls school, Government Secondary School Tudun Wada, and St. Louis Girls College Jos. They all had their various exhibition tables where they displayed their different products.
Mrs Franka, Junior Achievement National Coordinator gave the welcome, address. She briefed all the schools on what was expected from them and gave them a few tips. She had taken schools for competitions both nationally and internationally and thus knew what it was all about she pointed out that it was all about the school, their company and their product and urged them all to give their best.
The schools were to send representative would pide a member. This is the order in which they would present. The next thing to do was the slide presentation from each school. Meanwhile the MC talked more about JA in all levels. In the nursery, primary, secondary schools and in tertiary institutions and NYSC camps. Then the slide presentation began and St Louis was the first to present. They spoke about how their company was formed, their members, what they do, their mission and vision etc. After their presentation, the judges took turns and asked them questions regarding their presentation. The next school starlet High spoke about their achievements, their products, their company etc. They were also quizzed by the judges St. Theresa girls was next. They spoke about their product baby consent, the raw materials they used etc. They were quizzed as well. Baptist High School presented next.
They had made a thermo-heater-bucket, bags, purses etc from some raw materials. They here severely questioned on their thermo-heater bucket, how they market their products etc. Federal government college made hand-knit bags made from leather. They were quizzed too. Naraguta grammar school were unable to produce slides due to late notice. They had made, purses, jewelry etc from beads. ECSU presented next. They had made shoes; employed the labour of orphans and taught them bow to make some products. GSS Tudun Wada presented that they had made school sandals that the school would make compulsory for all students. They said the problems they faced was the non-commitment of members of their company. Their stated that thing God achieved sandals and palms. TCNN arrived very late and as a result couldn’t make use of the slide. They had made, bags and shoes. They stated very late and as a result couldn’t make use of the slides. They had made bags and shoes. They stated that they had bought all their raw materials from the money gotten from the sale of shoes. They were quizzed by the judges too.
The next item on the program was the both exhibition of products from all the schools. The judges went to the various booths of the schools to view their products and tabulate their scores. From Baptist high school their company sage ltd produced the following at various prices thermo-plastic-bucket – N2,000. These were all produced from recyclable material

From FGC Jos, their company Rockyland investment company, produced leather bags at N600, N2000 depending in size. These were made from leather TCNN’s vibrant JA produced.
Bags and shoes and sold them as a set at N3500. Their products were made from chic trove, maco, tiber, snappins, sheboard, cardboard, gum laden, handle.
Ecwa comprehensive company ultimate JA produced shoes made from twins, caterpillar soles and tiles nora.

Which the judges were summing up of the scores to determine winner, students from the different schools come out and danced with TCNN being the winner after 3 rounds. The teachers danced as well and were joined by their students. There was a song presentation from ECSU, a quote from Naraguta, a dance presentation from St. Louis a poem presentation from FGC, a song presentation from TCNN and from starlet High too. After the entertainment the principal of Louis the Host school gave a speech. Barrister Mrs Franca gave a talk about her observation from the various schools she gave corrections and tips, chastised and commended the different school Mr. Mordecai a judge also gave a talk.
Then it was time for the presentation of awards St. Louis girls got the award for the best social responsibility. They filed two official and greatly improved the school’s poultry farm.
The third position went to St Theresa’s girls school.
In second position we have Diye Starlet High school.
Finally the first position went to St. Louis girls college the host school.
The guests and judges were acknowledged and took a group photograph. The closing prayer was said by the head girl of St. Louis. The program or event ended with St. Louis. The program is event ended St. Louis as the winner.
