“A job that Americans have rejected is once again being done by an immigrant,”! Tevor said.
“Thank you Jon… I’m not quite sure what you saw in me, but I’ll work hard every day to find it,” the 31-year-old South African comedian said during his opening remarks. “And I’ll make you not look like the crazy old dude who left his inheritance to some random kid in Africa.”
His black, his young and handsome and he is definitely from Mother AFRICA!
Trevor Noah (born 20 February 1984) is a South African comedian, writer, producer, actor, media critic, and television host. He is the host of American news satire television program The Daily Show, succeeding Jon Stewart. Noah was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. His mother, Patricia Nombuyiselo Noah, is half-black South African (Xhosa) and half-Jewish and his father Robert is a white native of Switzerland. He spent his early youth in the private school of Maryvale College, a Catholic school in Johannesburg. His parents’ relationship was illegal at the time of his birth due to apartheid, and his mother was jailed and fined by the South African government. His father later moved back to Switzerland and Noah was raised by his mother and maternal grandmother, Nomalizo Frances Noah. During his childhood, he attended church every Sunday. His mixed-race heritage, his experiences growing up in a Soweto township, and his observations about race and ethnicity are leading themes in his comedy.
The Daily Show aired on Monday for the first time since 1999 without the much-loved Jon Stewart as its host. He also joked that the pope was “undercompensating” by driving a small car. “I’m saying the pope has a huge cock,” he said.
I personally think he did well and the critics at Hollywood reporters should stop been so….
