Ex-PDP Chairman Haliru Bello, Son get N600m bail

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted bail to the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Haliru Bello and his son, Abba, to the tune of N600m. Justice Ahmed Mohammed ordered the duo to pay N300 Million each, as well as produce two sureties each, in like sum.   Whereas the court maintained that one of the persons to stand surety for Bello must be a Director under the employment of the federal government or any of its agencies, the son was asked to produce someone not below grade level 12 to stand surety for him. ‘EFCC,you all know where I live’-Wole Soyinka replies Wike’s call to probe N82m dinner

 Professor Wole Soyinka doesn't take accusation lightly especially when he is the one doing most of, what I call, the controversial accuse me I accuse you triad.  He has reacted to a statement by Rivers State Information Commissioner , Dr Austin Tam-George that the state would demand refund from Soyinka if he collected cash from the N82 Million spent by former Governor Rotimi Amaechi on a dinner to honour him.  Which is senseless to me especially when former Pres. ‘I don’t know whether my 8 children are alive or dead’

In an interview with BBC, a woman at one of the IDP camps narrated how her husband and 8 children where abducted by Boko haram members. She says she doesn't know whether they are alive or dead. "I have eight children plus my husband. Boko Haram came at dawn. After spending about two weeks in the town, they took my husband and later my children too. They released him after two weeks but they also came back and took him away around 5pm. They also took my children away from their school.
