Has President Mugabe suffered a heart attack or it is the annual ‘Mugabe rumour’?

President Robert Mugabe is reported to have collapsed after suffering a heart attack while on holiday and is in critical condition. He was said to be on holiday with family and friends when he was taken ill. The reports suggest "high-level" meetings are being held in case Mugabe does not recover. But the story is unverified and rumours are circulating on social media that it may be a hoax. Meanwhile, Zimbabwean newspaper, The Herald said vice president Emmerson Mnangwagwa had been appointed acting president.   Did I hear someone say praise God? Ok, carry on.....

Suicide bomber kills 13 inside mosque in Cameroon

No fewer than 13 people were killed in a suicide bomb attack suspected to be carried out by Boko Haram members inside a mosque in the Far Northern region of Cameroon this morning. "The suicide attack took place at 5:40 a.m. (2340 ET) in a mosque at Kouyape. There were 13 deaths including the man who blew himself up and one wounded," a senior Cameroonian official who declined to be identified told Reuters.

Court denies FG power to seize MTN’s funds in Nigerian banks

Justice Mohammed Idris of the Federal High Court in Lagos has denied the Federal Government powers to seize all funds owned by MTN Nigeria Communications Limited in Nigerian banks, pending when the telecommunication company pays up the N1.4 trillion fine leveled against it by the NCC over its failure to deactivate unregistered sim cards. The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), through his counsel, Dipo Okpeseyi (SAN), had in a motion filed before the court, expressed fears of MTN moving all its funds in Nigeria, since it was in their habit
