Wazal Couture is out with a new collection called ‘Ova Tété’. And we are loving the shape of the clothes, it gives out that anhydrous feel when you wear the pieces. The French/Cameroonian designer, AYISSI NGA Joseph-Marie, showcased his first collection late last year, a collection that had a new take on the plain leather black jacket, by infusing some african touch to it. This collection aptly called Ova Tee was inspired by a Cameroonian slang ‘Ova’ which means bigger and noble person and Tété which refers to chic and bourgeois.
It also good to note that quality materials were used in this collection, including wax (African Print) from Senegal/Mali. Correct if I am wrong but apart from Orange Kulture, he is one of the few african designer embarking on the anhydrous trend, which has been very popular with will smith son.
