Karl Lagerfeld’s Resort shows for Chanel are just legendary, with clothes screaming the deafening yet desirable sounds of luxury, one has needs a year to take it all in. The show is normally staged in some exotic locale or inspired by one. Unbeknownst to many, the fashion icon has had a love affair with Latin music for decades—winning contests in tango and cha-cha and demonstrating that his dance moves are as precise and lovely as his design prowess. He titled his latest assortment for the French fashion house “Coco Cuba” and staged it as you may have guessed in good old Havana, Cuba.
The thing about this collection and the location is that they are like the clothe and sisters, for the location, it might be the 21st century but Cuba is still in the late 18th century, where it is still a norm to dress outrageously flamboyant making the collection totally wearable if you are looking at it from that point of view.
