In a successful lawsuit over French luxury goods holding company Kering, former Saint Laurent designer Hedi Slimane is en route to quite the large pay out. Slimane contended that his former employer failed to apply a non-compete clause in addition to associated financial remuneration prior to his departure in April.
The holding group, which also owns such luxury labels as Balenciaga and Gucci, is on the hook to shell out $13 million USD in the lost dispute.
“We won. I’m happy because this its a natural outcome. The contract terms were absolutely clear,” said Slimane’s lawyer, Herve Temime, upon hearing the court’s decision.
