Menswear fashion in Nigeria is still a thing of fighting for change, and JZO a menswear brand founded in 2014 by the creative duo of Joseph O. Ike and Olamide E. Akindeinde ,are doing exactly that and they have released the look book for their Rain 2017 collection dubbed ‘V’.
Featuring traditionally dyed “adire” fabrics, in masculine color pallet of navy blue, grey royal blue and burgundy, the JZO perspective could best be described as a modern minimalist retelling of traditional African themes.
The indigenous Nigerian menswear brand is redefining the context of traditional menswear through contemporary and modern designs characterized by the Nigerian tradition and culture. The Brand has carved a niche for themselves with the use of handmade traditional fabrics sourced in Nigeria to create clean edge modern pieces with an African aesthetics.
