Alexander McQueen’s creative director Sarah Burton is still on maternity leave, so the brand decided to take it low key this season with an intimate lookbook instead of a runway show. Photographed by Julia Hetta, the dark and moody images offer the perfect backdrop for this collection. “You wouldn’t get [Hetta's painterly images] from a show,” said McQueen’s head of menswear design, Harley Hughes. She was only 18 and had just graduated from high school. She had been persuaded by friends to go with them to the Pulse gay nightclub to celebrate her graduation. She didn't come out of there alive. Many nightclubs bar minors where alcohol is served but Orlando and Pulse Nightclub allow under 21 to enter. Akyra had been dropped at the nightclub with her girlfriend Patience Carter, by her mum. Oscar Pistorius Oscar Pistorius must pay for the crime of murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, which has devastated her family, her father told a South African court on Tuesday. The 29-year-old Paralympian gold medalist faces a minimum 15-year jail term after his manslaughter conviction for the 2013 killing, for which he originally received a 5-year sentence, was upgraded on appeal.
