Plateau Govt Pays 20Million To Chlorine Gas Leak Victims As Compensation

Plateau State government has paid N20 million as compensation to the relatives of the eight victims of last year’s chlorine gas leak from a government water treatment plant along Murtala Mohammed Way, Jos, Plateau State. Reports say about Eight persons in Dakum community had choked to death while about 100 persons were hospitalised when they inhaled chlorine gas released from wrongly placed cylinders stored in the state government’s water treatment plant on the 25th of July 2015. University Of Jos Vice Chancellor, Sebastian Seddi Maimako Attacked By Gunmen

Information   reaching us  had shown that the new Vice Chancellor (VC)  of the of Jos Prof. Sebastian Seddi Maimako who has spent just 34days in office was viciously attacked by some unknown armed men along  Eto'baba Road, Jos North L. G. A Plateau State. The Attack  which occurred  at around 9pm  resulted in the death of  a Police Officer who is his aide, while  other casualties  remained unconfirmed as at the time of filling this report. (more…)
