The Nigerian economy on paper seems to be unbearable but in reality the economy is somewhat ok. Just fake informations and a bad increase in the usually unethical monetary policies. Other countries have seen that Nigerians have finally opened their eyes. And they want to hinder the growth of business like Bibi Lawrence.
Well the Nigerian women’s ready-to-wear label Bibi Lawrence unveils its new formal collection for women. And as usual there is no unique pieces here, I am not saying that she copied from someone, then added something else on it, but that doesn’t mean that I have seen this concept over and over again. If Nigerian designers can have a rethink of their businesses, are you going for a Balmain type of fashion label or something else, (sorry not explain this part ).
But we ought to give a big thumbs up to the team for the fabric selection, it really came out well.
This collection for Spring/Summer 2017 is called Lawrence. Lawrence collection was named after the father of the creative director who passed away recently.
It features cut-outs and silhouettes that drapes nicely on the woman.
The solid colours and clean lines seen throughout the collection stays true to the brand aesthetics.
