No Phone? Nokia D1C might be an Android tablet after all

Oh no! If you’ve been waiting for a new Nokia Android smartphone, whether out of loyalty or out of curiosity, you might have to wait a bit longer. The Nokia D1C, believed to be the company’s first smartphone after selling its mobile business to Microsoft, might not actually be a smartphone. According to a Geekbench entry, it is going to be a rather large 13.8-inch Android 7.0 tablet instead. Fisrt Photos of some of the 21 released Chibok girls

Photos obtained exclusively by CNN show some of the 21 girls who were released by Boko Haram to the military today. The 21 are said to be among the 276 girls that Boko Haram militants kidnapped in April 2014. BBC ignores pressure from Presidency, NASS, Daura, set to air Aisha Buhari’s controversial interview on Saturday

BBC is resisting mounting pressure from the Presidency and National Assembly to stop it from airing the explosive interview granted it by interview the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari. A source within the Abuja Bureau of the BBC told Daily Trust that there was a letter from the Presidency asking the Hausa service of the BBC not to air the interview. (more…)

US singer, Bob Dylan becomes first songwriter to receive Nobel Prize award for Literature

US singer Bob Dylan, has been awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature, becoming the first songwriter to win the prestigious award. The balladeer, artist and actor, is the first American to win since novelist Toni Morrison in 1993. The 75-year-old rock legend received the prize for "having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition" (more…)

Starbucks Marries Coffee and Beer for Its Latest, Crazy Concoction
