First case of Lassa fever recorded in Lagos

The first case of Lassa fever has been recorded in Lagos state. Minister of Healt!h, Isaac Adewole, who made this known, said the patient is a 25 year old student of the Ahmadu Bello University who traveled from Zaria. Late Kate Keshi (nee Abureme) died on December 9, 2015, in the U.S. after a long battle with cancer. Customs boss orders officers to declare assets in 14 days

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Hammed Ali, has directed all officers and men of the Nigeria Customs Service to declare their assets within 14 days. The order was stated in a circular signed by the comptroller-general and sent out to all deputy comptrollers-general, zonal coordinators and customs area controllers. Hameed in the circular said the directive which must be complied with, is a way of ensuring transparency and compliance with the rule of law within the parastatal.
