Apple reportedly plans to perform 5G internet tests in Cupertino

Though 5G remains a somewhat nebulous concept because standards organizations have yet to formally classify it, the successor to LTE is broadly understood to be capable of gigabit speeds that rely on mmWave tech. Because mmWave transmits data at a higher frequency, and thus a smaller wavelength of between 30 GHz and 300 GHz, the technology is capable of reducing latency and expanding data transmission capacity. It also opens up possibilities for cutting down on antenna size and for packing more powerful multi-band antennas into a single device. (more…)

Facebook Live now lets you add a friend to live stream together

  Facebook is now opening up the ability for users to invite a friend for a collaborative broadcast. Think of it like a Hangouts on Air via YouTube Live — you can ask a Facebook friend to join and share the live stream screen even when you’re not in the same place. Facebook first offered this feature to public figures, but now it’ll be available for all users and Pages going live through the iOS app. (more…)

Ownership of Warri: Itsekiri slam Ijaw over outburst

WARRI—THE Iwere People’s Congress, IPC, Warri, Delta State, has  lashed out at  the Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI, and the Niger Delta Scholars, NDS, which recently faulted the claim to the ownership of Warri by the Itsekiri ethnic nationality, saying that the groups were misguided and misdirected in their eruption.
