A #NigeriaForTheRich , not that being rich is bad…..
Nigeria is a beautiful country and with a population of over 170 million people, it has the largest congregation of black colored people in the world. So basically, racism is a stupid disease that black Americans go through or have on TV.
In Nigeria we obviously don’t deal on racism, because anything with an almost white skin color and a ridiculous accent (and most times, bad manners) is in all retrospect a god here. We deal more on tribalism with the key or major players being the Igbo’s (known for their businesses), the Yoruba’s (known for their cunning ways) and finally the boss of the masses, the Hausa’s (known for being the boss AKA the oga at the top). This affects Nigerians every day, from gaining admission into a Federal University to choosing an area to reside in.
Nigeria is a very funny country and sometimes you just have to wonder, is it actually a real country? Like seriously!
A Nigerian Senator earns roughly about 28 million Naira, with allowances that ranges from sitting down to almost a million Naira for buying Newspapers and that is just a salary for a month! If this where America or the United Kingdom, while let’s just say we all know what will happen. The minimum wage for a working person in Nigeria is just 18,000 per month, the only place where this rule is been obeyed is only on the same paper were it was written on. Leaving the legislative and going down to the judiciary.
Our Police men today are (mostly) now daylight criminals / troublemakers, they have been reduced to the level of ordinary gate keepers (which is sad), while our Military men which were one of the best in the world are now the new Police men for the great Nigeria. Nigerian courts are like never ending theatre productions, one day this story the other day that story, cases going on and on for years. If you are unfortunately poor and have a case in the court, while just prepare you mind that you will spend your sentence in jail (trial) even before your actual sentence is being proclaimed (that’s if they don’t forget you in there or your legal fees haven’t finished your money yet).
You can only imagine what the poor and innocent go through this days.
