Restructuring at Calvin Klein has led to the departure of Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli as the label’s womenswear and menswear creative directors, respectively. According to Calvin Klein CEO Steve Shiffman, their exit is part of a new global strategy to “unify all Calvin Klein brands under one creative vision,” essentially making their place at the top redundant.
The company declined to say who would succeed the two, but the rumor mill has been swirling with reports that it could be Raf Simons, who, citing irreconcilable differences and a general apathy towards the current fashion model, famouslyexited his post at Christian Dior last year.
While all eyes will be on him for the next few months, his namesake label will be showing its Spring 2017 collection at Pitti Uomo in June.
