Yesterday was a blast! I got so high on poetry that I climbed Sheri Hills lol, in fact the last two days has been fun for me and everyone that attended the “Jos Resonates with A Field of Echoes#” and the “Open mic and barbecue on Sheri hills” event that was hosted by COAL (Custodians of African Literature) which is a literary inclined outfit headed by young writers who seek to promote Education, African literature and build up values by using Poetry, Spoken Word, short stories and other forms of creative writing as tools. They hope to see a society of youths who will be involved in building up a more creative, intelligent and proactive Nigeria and Africa through literature. They train, coach and mentor interested youths in the art of spoken word, poetry and creative writing. SEEMORE PICTURES BELOW..
DAY 1
Jos Resonates with A Field of Echoes# was a beautiful show that took place on the 12th September at the Bishop’s court opposite St Louis, Jos Plateau State Nigeria. It had the literary icon Chijioke Amunnadi as Guest Author, Saddiq Dzukogi from Niger, Ehizogie Iyeomoan from Kano, Su’eddie Veshima from Benue, Anchorman from Jos, Mfon, Judith, Rudolph, Miles, COAL ambassadors and others who also graced the event. The event also featured:
- Book reading
- A panel for literary questions
- Spoken word
- Visual performances
- Music
DAY 2
Open mic and barbecue on Sheri hills, now that is one event I will never forget in my LIFE! I freaking climbed a mountain lol, it was the bomb! And it was held on the 13th September, which was yesterday at Sheri Hills, Plateau State Nigeria. It was loaded with performances from Chijioke Amunnadi, SST, Mala and other future great poets of Nigeria.
