Following the blast which occurred a day after Nigeria celebrated 55 years of independence, Nigerians have taken to social media to express their sympathy and also condemn the attack.
Nigerian business magnate and politician, Ben Murray-Bruce said the problem with the war against terrorism is that the people fight each other when terrorists strike instead of uniting to fight the terrorists.
My prayers go out to victims of the bombings in Kuje and Nyanya. May God grant the survivors succour and grant Nigeria victory over terror.

We don’t always have to agree on issues but we take our responsibility to citizens very seriously. Nigeria will prevail.

My heart bleeds for the innocent lives lost in the Kuje and Nyanya bomb blasts. Once again, this attempt to break our spirits will fail.

I am deeply saddened by the bombings in Abuja. May the souls of the departed rest in peace and may God comfort and console their families.

Instead of uniting to fight terrorism, it became a PDP vs APC issue and people fell for it during elections! Here we are today!!! So Sad

It was alleged that someone had predicted the bomb blast on October 1, 2015, on Twitter via his account @chimaokoro63. And Nigerians have well, started reacting to the alleged prophet of doom.
DSS must find this Chima Okoro & get what he knows about today’s bomb blast.Talk to Twitter & Facebook.Get his browsing behaviour & location
— Ikenna Ron Nzimora (@ronaldnzimora) October 2, 2015
We criticize the intelligence agencies about the Chima Okoro’s comments, but how many Nigerians who saw the comments tried to reach the DSS?
— Ibraheem Abioye (@DrAbioye) October 3, 2015
Don’t blame @chimaokoro63. Blame the security agencies that didn’t act on his information.
— #IgboMade (@ManiPeters) October 3, 2015
So how come a guy predicted an attack and our security forces could do nothing? Don’t they have a social media department?
— Mr Boro. (@AAABORODE) October 3, 2015
Say whatever you like, live in denial, pass the buck on or lay the blame on@chimaokoro63, one fact simply remains: our state is failing 1/
