Etisalat Nigeria Has Officially Launched Its 4G LTE Service

Etisalat Nigeria has started rolling out 4G LTE services to some parts of Nigeria. Speaking at the launch, CEO Etisalat Nigeria, Matthew Willsher said, “The 4G LTE technology offers our customers increased access to high speed data and quality voice services real time. With the new technology, our customers will enjoy efficient broadband internet and uninterrupted connectivity to clearer voice calls, increased access to online streaming and ultra-high definition videos.” (more…)

Thousands Gather to Celebrate the Annual Olojo Festival as Ooni of Ife Wears the ‘Aare Crown’ for the First Time

There was jubilation in Ile-Ife on Saturday as the ‎Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, appeared to the waiting mammoth crowd with the historic and sacred Aare crown on his head which he wore for the first time since his enthronement late last year.‎ The crown, which is believed to weigh over 70kg spiritually, was always worn once a year by the Ooni, during which major gods in the city are appeased. A group photo obtained by a Nigerian Public Affairs analyst on Twitter, shows the 21 newly rescued Chibok girls looking all cleaned up, in a group picture with Senator Ali Ndume in Abuja. This is only three days after they were released by Boko Haram group.
