Buhari orders immediate payment of December salaries

President Buhari has ordered the immediate payment of December salaries to all Federal civil servants. His directive was made known by the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, who spoke at the end of the monthly Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting in Abuja yesterday Dec. 22nd. She said salaries were already being paid in response to the Presidential directive. “We are very conscious of the need that people are paid in time for the festive season,” she said. Adeosun added that some workers have already started receiving alerts for their December salary.

Nicolas Cage returns stolen dinosaur skull he bought

Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage has agreed to turn over a rare stolen dinosaur skull he bought for $276,000 to U.S. authorities so it can be returned to the Mongolian government. The office of Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney in Manhattan, filed a civil forfeiture complaint last week to take possession of the Tyrannosaurus bataar skull, which will be repatriated to Mongolia. The lawsuit did not specifically name Cage as the owner, but Cage's publicist confirmed that the actor bought the skull in March 2007 from a Beverly Hills gallery, I.M. Chait. (more…)

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Will End After Season 7, Says Creator

“Pretty Little Liars” returns with the second half of its sixth season after the new year, but how much longer will the hit ABC Family show go on? Johnny Depp Named Hollywood’s Most Overpaid Actor

Johnny Depp is the new Adam Sandler … when it comes to return on investment, that is. Depp has been named Hollywood’s most overpaid actor in 2015 by Forbes — a list Sandler topped for the last two years (he was ineligible this year due to his Netflix deal). Depp’s recent movies, “Mortdecai” and “Transcendence,” returned a meager $1.20 for every $1 he was paid on them.
