Okorocha slashes Imo state ministries from 22 to 13

Ok... Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha has slashed the state ministries from 22 to 13. Okorocha announced the new development at a meeting with the Permanent Secretaries of various ministries yesterday November 12th. Okorocha who spoke through the state’s Head of Service, Calistus Ekenze said the dwindling finances of the state necessitated the decision to reduce the ministries.

NAFDAC Fines Guinness N1 Billion

What is happening to Nigeria please? The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has hit Guinness with a fine of N1 billion for “its failure to adhere to the recommended good manufacturing practice procedures,” Vanguard reports. A source from the Enforcement Department of the agency, who pleaded anonymity, is said to have told the publication that the agency conducted a routine check on the company’s factory in Ikeja, Lagos on November 5, 2015, and “shocking” revelations were made. ​40 jailed for hawking soft drinks, “pure water” in Abuja

The Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB), FCT Mobile Court, on Thursday sentenced 40 hawkers to one week imprisonment for trading in prohibited areas within the capital city. The presiding chief magistrate, Aminu Abdullahi sentenced the hawkers after they pleaded guilty to the charge. “Having been found guilty of one offence, the convicts are hereby sentenced to one week imprisonment for trading in ​(​the​) ​​prohibited areas of FCT.
