Former ADC to Goodluck Jonathan, Col Adegbe, arrested

Former Aide-de-Camp to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Colonel Ojogbane Adegbe, has been arrested over his alleged involvement in the $2.1 billion arms deal fraud. Ojogbane was arrested on Wednesday February 10th after he was recalled by the Nigerian Army from the UK where he was undergoing a course. Upon his arrival in Lagos, he was flown to the Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja popularly referred to as Abacha Barracks where he was interrogated by some senior military officers. He was then taken to the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC

‘FG to handover 23,000 ghost workers and banks that connived with them to EFCC’ – Finance Minister, Adeosun

Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun told Senate Committee on Finance that the 23,000 ghost workers discovered in the Federal Civil Service would be handed over to EFCC. Adeosun, who made the revelation when she appeared before the committee, said banks that connived with the workers to pad the Federal government payroll are also going to be prosecuted. "We will not only sack them, we will ensure the recovery of the money they have been collecting over the years from the Federal government." she said.
