President Buhari departs on a 3-day official visit to Kenya

President Buhari this morning left Abuja on a 3-day state tour to Kenya where he will join his host, President Uhuru Kenyatta and other dignitaries at a memorial service for Kenyan soldiers who were killed by Al-Shabaab in Somalia. He will proceed to Nairobi on Thursday for bilateral talks with Kenyan government officials. At the conclusion of his visit, President Buhari and President Kenyatta will jointly preside over a Kenya-Nigeria Business Forum. More photos after the cut... (more…)

Only Oprah can make $12 million in an hour with one tweet

You get a loaf. You get a loaf. You get a loaf. Oprah Winfrey’s love for bread made her $12 million in just over an hour on Tuesday. The media mogul and the largest individual stakeholder in Weight Watchers International Inc. tweeted a video at 12:09 p.m. Eastern time professing that she had lost 26 pounds while eating bread every day. When you are leaving in Plateau State, Nigeria and you are sick and tired of the cold/harmattan/heat, you turn on the TV and see the snow in the US #ThankGod for the weather. Today's was inspired by the funny weather conditions in Jos city, the outfit was styled to keep you warm during the spiky cold periods but cool enough to not make you sweat when the heat comes back (yes, the weather in Jos fluctuates like it is been controlled by a remote).
