These Are Forbes’ Highest Paid YouTube Stars of 2016

Another year and Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie is back on top of Forbes‘ highest paid YouTube stars list. Unsurprisingly, the 26-year-old’s account boasts the most subscribers on the platform, with 49.6 million as of press time. However, PewDiePie (real name Felix Kjellberg) recently announced that he would be deleting his YouTube channel once he hits 50 million subscribers after suggesting that the platform is promoting only clickbait through its “Recommended Videos” algorithm and hurting content creators’ views in the process. Thousands of Malawians Protest against Abortion Bill & Homosexuality

Protesters in Blantyre Thousands of Malawians across the country on Tuesday marched against the tabling of Abortion Bill and also to urge the Malawi Government to say no to homosexuality. This followed speculations that the Parliament currently sitting in Lilongwe had queued up the Abortion Bill for debate but government has since refuted the speculations. (more…)

UNIJOS suspends lecturer allegedly caught cheating during a Master’s degree exams

The University of Jos has suspended an associate professor of law, who was allegedly caught cheating during an examination on May 4, Premium Times reports Benedicta Dauda, a former head of the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law of the Faculty of Law was allegedly caught copying from a prepared answer during an examination for a Master’s degree in Research and Public Policy in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
