Robert Downey Jr has been pardoned for the drugs and weapon offences for which he was convicted in the mid-1990s on Thursday. California governor Jerry Brown signed the 50-year-old’s plea for pardon on evidence “that since his release from custody he has lived an honest and upright life, exhibited good moral character and conducted himself as a law-abiding citizen”. According to LIB: The police officers who took one way and knocked down a University of Port Harcourt Mechanical Engineering student Edah Oghenekevwe Richard (Read story here), have been identified and arrested by the Rivers state Police command. The deceased was on his way back from Church and standing along Assemblies of God Church junction in Alakahia, PH, when he was hit by the Police Van. The state police command is conducting further investigation into the matter and if the officers are found guilty, they will be taken to court.
