Comedienne Margaret Cho is the new co-host of Fashion Police

E! has announced that the comedian is the latest addition to the show, which famously starred the late Joan Rivers. Margaret Cho who has appeared on the show as a fashion critic will be joining Brad Goreski, Giuliana Rancic and the main host, Melissa Rivers. Margaret Cho will kick off co-hosting duties with red carpet coverage at the Golden Globes, which take places on January 11, 2016.

Bank stops use of Naira debit card in Dubai, China

Diamond Bank has sent a message to its customers announcing a new restriction on the naira debit card, with customers now unable to use it in the United Arab Emirates, China and all African countries apart from Nigeria. As an alternative, the bank asked the customers to use the dollar-denominated debit card which will not have any limitations. However, it is impossible to fund the dollar cards by cash lodgements as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has banned the cash deposits in foreign currencies in banks. Death sentences passed on 66 Nigerian soldiers for mutiny, other charges, reduced to 10 years imprisonment each

The death sentences by firing squad passed on 66 soldiers in January and March 2015 by separate General Court Martials have been commuted to 10 years imprisonment each. I didn’t say petrol will sell for N97/litre -Kachikwu

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Ibe Kachikwu has refuted media reports quoting him as saying that the gradual phasing out of the Subsidy scheme in 2016 will give rise to the increase in petroleum product to N97. Ibe was quoted to have said this during a meeting with the Senate this week. However at a media briefing in Abuja yesterday, Ibe said the federal government has no plans to raise the price of petrol from N87 to N97 per litre in 2016. (more…)
