Army Vows To Wrestle Biafra To The Ground

Following recent agitation for an independent state of Biafra by some Igbo people in the eastern and southern part of the country, the Nigerian army has warned protesters not to cross the red line as military personnel are ready for battle. Protests have been going on by Pro- Biafra agitators under the aegis of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra and the Independent People Of Biafra. President Buhari Urged To Close Nigerian Embassy In The UK

A Nigerian-born, British human rights activist, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has about 48hours to shut down the Nigerian Embassy in UK or risk the chance of an all out breakdown of law and order. The activist, Professor Alexia Thomas, warned that the high rate of corruption at the Nigerian Embassy in the UK has given cause for agitation. She added that protesters and angry Nigerians are likely to set fire on the Nigerian House, if the president does not heed the call. (more…)

Turkey fans BOO during pre-match minute’s silence for the victims of Paris attacks and chant ‘Allahu Akbar’ before Greece friendly

Talk about an OMG! Chants of 'Allahu Akbar' were reportedly heard in Istanbul as some Turkey fans shamefully booed a pre-match minute's silence for the victims of the Paris attacks. The friendly itself against Greece was largely forgettable as the action finished 0-0 at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium. But the game was tarnished before it even started as a video emerged suggesting some of the Turkish faithful were voicing their dissent towards tributes for the 129 victims who were killed in last Friday's atrocities in Paris.  (more…)
