We at Awomkenneth.com are so happy today! We got nominated for the Nigerian Writers Awards under the Blogger Of the Year category (literary blog writer!). More to come... Nigerian Writers' Awards (NWA) kicked off its nomination on the 4th of July to 5th of October 2015 with over 831,000 people who visited the website to nominate Nigerian Writers of different genres in 24 major categories who have proven their worth and commitment in writing. Breaking: Wike ordered OUT as Rivers State Governorship Tribunal rules INEC to Conduct Fresh Elections

The Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Saturday nullified the election of Governor Nyesom Wike, the current governor of Rivers State who won the election as the PDP candidate in the April 2015 governorship election. The governorship candidate of the APC, Dakuku Peterside filed the petition  asking Tribunal to nullify the governorship election in the state and to order a new election. Governor Nyesom Wike and his legal team asked the Tribunal to dismiss the petition. (more…)

I will continue to miss my late wife, Stella – Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says he and his family will continue to miss his late wife, Stella Obasanjo who died after a botched surgery in Spain on October 23rd 2005. Obasanjo said this during the 10th memorial service for his late wife which held at the Chapel of Christ the Glorious King within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta yesterday October 23rd.
