Police Re-arrest man who named his Dog “Buhari”, to Arraign him on Monday

Joe Chinakwe The Ogun State Police Command on Friday said it had re-arrested the trader, Joe Chinakwe, who named his dog “Buhari”. According to Vanguard, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state police Public Relations Officer, said that the suspect would be arraigned in court on Monday. Oyeyemi also stated that Chinakwe, who was earlier released a few days ago, was picked up again based on the Force’s belief that the suspect’s action was capable of provoking an ethno-religious crisis. Lagos ranked world’s third Worst city to live in

Lagos state has been ranked the world's third worst city to live in. This is according to the 2016 World livability ranking released by the Economist Intelligence Unit yesterday Thursday August 18th. Out of 140 countries that was used during the survey, Lagos came 138th just above war-ravaged Tripoli and Damascus. (more…)

12-car Calabar Monorail Ready for Inauguration

As part of efforts to ease movement in the state capital, the multi-billion Naira Calabar Light rail project will soon be inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari. The 12-car monorail system, when fully operational, will use an Intamin P8 electric powered passenger shuttle train to convey passengers from Tinapa Resort across Lake Tinapa to Calabar International Conference Centre (CICC).
