The first case of Lassa fever has been recorded in Lagos state. Minister of Healt!h, Isaac Adewole, who made this known, said the patient is a 25 year old student of the Ahmadu Bello University who traveled from Zaria. Remember last year, there was a protest in the University of Lagos over terrible beds, bed bug pandemic and the sorry state of the halls of residence which gained coverage in Punch Newspaper, Linda Ikeji's blog etc. Well the school management has commenced changing the beds in the hostel and fumigation.
