Toke Makinwa’s Must Read Memoir “On Becoming”…Read Excerpts

There is no doubt that media personality Toke Makinwa is one strong woman. We got a copy of her soon to be released book – On Becoming and it has been an interesting and eye-opening read so far! She says it “is not a tell-all but a must tell”, and the book did speak of many things. She spoke of her childhood days, and the sad loss of her parents as a result of a fire incident in their home when she was 8 years old and its impact on her life. Lagos University Teaching Hospital Records Birth of First IVF Baby

The Assisted Fertility Centre (AFC) at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, Lagos, on Tuesday celebrated the birth of its first In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) baby. Professor Osato Giwa-Osagie, the Co-ordinator of the centre, made this known during a verification visit by a team from the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Abuja, to the institution in Lagos. What Is ALARA Lagos Annual Revenue Or Are They In Debt?

So if you are part of my gang of Instagram admirers (#stalkers) of The Polo Avenue handle, by now you would have gotten used to seeing scandals with N800,000 prices tags, sunglasses and belts that cost half a Million Naira and so on.  The Polo Avenue website might be an empty shell of some sought, really have no words to describe the front end of the site but they only stock few designers mostly foreign and definitely no Nigerian designer, so obliviously the carter to few clients and have a small profit margin compared to bigger guys like ALARA.  (more…)
