The Confederation of African Football has released a 30 man shortlist for the 2016 African Player of the Year award, with John Obi Mikel, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa making the list. The Prestigious award, which will take place in Abuja on Thursday, November 5, 2016, will see the Nigerian stars battle the current holder, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon, Samuel Eto’o from Cameroon among several others. Liverpool and Manchester United, one of the two greatest clubs in Britain continued their rivalry tonightas they played out an entertaining match in the Europa League round of 16. Chelsea FC captain, John Terry, will miss Wednesday’s Champions League last-16 second leg against Paris St Germain at Stamford Bridge due to injury. Diego Costa, Pedro and Kenedy were all involved in the team’s final training session before the game, but John Terry was absent as the 35-year-old central defender is still struggling with a hamstring problem that has kept him out of the last five matches.
