The programme is a part of the scheme under the ‘Social Investment Programmes’ of this present administration. Over one million extremely poor Nigerians are to be paid N5,000 monthly. The crème of the Nigeria entertainment industry and football lovers stormed the Teslim Balogun Stadium last Saturday, September 24, 2016 for the ‘A Trip to Jamaica' Novelty match. The match which featured prominent EX Super Eagles players such as the legendary Kanu Nwankwo, Jay Jay Okocha, Peter Rufai, Joseph Yobo, Mutiu Adepoju, Victor Ikpeba and Henry Nwosu, who played against Jamaican Ex Internationals like Deon Burton John, Lawrence James Hubert, and Kevin Lisbie.
