Nigerian labor leaders to meet today over planned strike action against increased pump price

  The Federal government, leaders of the Nigerian Labor Congress NLC ‎and Trade Union allies will be meeting today May 16th to discuss on the planned strike action by the Labor congress. The labor leaders on Saturday May 14th gave FG till midnight of Tuesday May 17th to revert to the old pump price of petrol of N86.50 or face a total strike that may begin on Wednesday May 18th. Nigeria Signs 5 bilateral Agreements With France

Nigeria and France have signed five bilateral agreements on Cultural, Scientific Education and Technical Cooperation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama said on Saturday. Onyeama, who made this known to State House correspondents in Abuja, said the five bilateral agreements were signed in a closed-door meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and the visiting French President, Francois Hollande. Thousands take to the streets in Zimbabwe in massive anti-Mugabe protests

So the man who was once prasied for not supporting LGBTQI rights in this country is now old and clueless, lol e never start... The nonagenarian has ruled the South African country with an iron fist for 28 years and it seems the people want him gone. Thousands took to the street in the capital Harare demanding he step down in a protest organised by main opposition party, the Movement for Democratic Change. Estimates put the crowd at between 8000 and 10000 protesters. (more…)

Kaduna Youths Blocked Roads, Protest 10-month Power Outage

Youths of Kamanzo Community in Kaduna metropolis have embarked on protest over alleged 10 months of power outage in the area.  The protest which erupted on Monday, saw the youths barricade the Ibrahim Yakowa Road, causing gridlock for over two hours.  The District Head of Kamanzo Community, Malam Dan-Makama, who confirmed the development, said that he had personally written to KEDCO on the matter, but the effort had yielded no result. Photos: Female Staff of Federal government agency in Oyo protest topless, demand removal of their Executive director

The Staff members especially the Female Staff members of the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN) in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital,  staged a semi-nude protest against the Executive Director of the agency, Professor Malachy O. Akoroda over what they termed his maladministration of the agency. Note the men did not remove their clothes, if not it would have been a free for all... The staff are accusing their executive director of engaging in white elephant jobs & mismanagement of funds. (more…)
