Hack Jos 2016! Day One Of Internet Of Things Hackathon In Plateau State Nigeria

The 2016 IoT Hack Jos hackathon is currently going on in Plateau State, Nigeria.  It is said to be one of the most innovative tech empowering movement going on in Nigeria, and Africa as a whole.   The four day long event kicked off today with registration of the hack participants taking place at the hotel, where they will be provided with accommodation and refreshments throughout their stay for the competition.  (more…)

BYE Felicia! Vine Is Dead, Long Live Vine

Twitter is officially killing Vine. According to a blog post on Medium, the microblogging company will be discontinuing the massively popular short video app within the coming months. The announcement comes hot on the heels of Twitter announcing massive layoffs across the board, with plans of cutting almost nine percent of its workforce (or roughly 350 people). (more…)
