Football is the most popular sport throughout Africa. Football brings children together, football create teamwork, and teach children important life lessons about hard work, dedication and relying on others. And more importantly, in Africa and in all the developing countries in the world football help to keep children off the streets and away from drugs and violence.

At DINN/ACAEDF Childrens Home here in Nigeria the children plays football everyday! Throughout the life of a child, football and play can be valuable tools to promote health and prevent disease.

Through football children explore and invent. They develop social skills and learn to express their emotions. Football is also a tool we use for our children in the process of working with their trouble past. And now we are so lucky to receive so many football shirts ! The children, staff, David Emmanuel Umem and I are so grateful for this amazing gift! Thank you Bjørn and thank you to all the football clubs and players. We are forever grateful”
