Nigerian and proudly made in Nigeria, Womenswear brand TwentySix released a new lookbook, introducing new (hmm?) pieces in this new look book in addition to full print skirts in different lengths and sizes that are perfect in size to a vast variety of women of different body types.
I would love to think that Nigerian based designers are trying, fighting lack of basic amenities, recession and building a global business profiolio at the same time is just insane!
And to be honesty the TwentySix lookbook just looks like what I have been seeing everywhere on the web, it just looks like the remake of popular concept and the only difference is that they were made in Nigeria. The shoes bored me, hairstyles and styling needed more hair styling and styling . And what came across to me with the location was more like dressed ghosts of the abandon stadium. I just think if they had spent less time in anticipating the money that will come and diverted all the energy into creating something more unique.
Then, it would have been a different story…
