Like her sister Kate Middleton did for her marriage to Prince William in 2014, Pippa chose a British designer to outfit her on the big day — though the choice of the eccentric Deacon was perhaps more unexpected than Kate’s decision to go with Alexander McQueenfor her own wedding dress.
Deacon recently suspended his ready-to-wear business to focus more fully on couture, giving his atelier ample time to work on Pippa’s dress. “I do a hell of a lot of research into every client commission,” he told Business of Fashion. Pippa has a “great eye,” he claimed. “She knew what she wanted.”
Pippa finished the look with a bespoke veil by Stephen Jones, a tiara by Robinson Pelham, customized pumps by Manolo Blahnik and lots of loving gazes at her new husband.
