The Goodfathers foundation is a non-profit/governmental organisation with focus on promoting ideals that contribute to moulding good fathers, and supporting/celebrating men with excellent fatherly characteristics in our society. We also encourage future fathers to aim for excellence, as this is critical to the smooth running of society.
To commemorate this year’s international father’s day, Goodfathers foundation will host a two days event to drum-up support for our fathers and to ignite a fresh commitment to support and celebrate the Nigerian man. This is why we are calling on all persons who love fathers and believe that our fathers deserve to be celebrated to join us for these events.
Day 1
WALK FOR FATHERS – this event is slated for 17th June 2017 by 7.30am led by the following Celebrities: Sir Bimbo Manuel, Femi Jacobs, Ohimai Amaize, Chuks Anyaduba (Roadsafety Activist), Charly Boy Oputa, Mc Amana, Toksdam of Africa, Amb. Davi d Egwu and others.
Day 2
Also on 18th June there shall be the GOODFATHERS BALL at Sheraton Hotels and Towers. A black bow-tie event.
The evening will feature special fathers Monologue by Bimbo Manuel, Femi Jacobs, Ope Jideojo and Rume Sefia.
Also, a brief panel discussion will be held discussing Absentee Fathers and the impact on society. The Panelists include Prof. Barth Nnaji, Sir Bimbo Manuel, Barr. Jonson Ojogbane, Mr Sunny Ikechukwu Nnacheta
Special Father’s Day messages will be delivered by the Indian Ambassador to Nigeria and other dignitaries.
This is a high profile event and is strictly by invitation. You can, however, win a chance to bring your father to this event for an evening he will live to remember, and to be specially celebrated. Simply post a picture on instagram of you and your dad and say what he means to you.
