The starving Akwa Ibom child saved by Anja Ringgren Lovén is looking much healthier
The little boy who was left for dead in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State after being branded a witch has begun his recovery after he was saved by Danish woman, Anja Ringgren Lovén. Photos of the boy, named Hope, being fed a drink of water by Lovén went viral in early February. The aid worker has since posted photos of Hope looking much healthier. A ten-year-old New Yorker who was teased at school is likely making her bullies incredibly jealous these days — because how many of them can say they've shown a collection of clothing at New York Fashion Week? Egypt Ufele, who goes by Ify, didn't let those fifth-grade bullies at her Queens school keep her down, and instead took the very thing they made fun of her for and used it to make a name for herself in the fashion world. South Dakota may become the first state to pass an anti-transgender school bathroom bill
South Dakota could soon become the first state in the US to pass an anti-transgender bill that bans trans students from using the bathroom or locker room that corresponds to their gender identity. The bill says "every restroom, locker room, and shower room located in a public elementary or secondary school that is designated for student use and is accessible by multiple students at the same time shall be designated for and used only by students of the same biological sex. Manny Pacquiao fired by Nike over anti-gay comments
Aww, Boxer Manny Pacquiao has been fired by Nike as a brand ambassador over his anti-gay comments. Nike issued a statement this evening saying; "We find Manny Pacquiao's comments abhorrent. Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community. We no longer have a relationship with Manny Pacquiao."
