DSS uncovers plans by IPOB members, others, to bomb Computer Village Lagos, attack worship centres, parks

The Department of State Security DSS released a statement yesterday stating that it has arrested a member of ‎the Indigenous People of Biafra, Onwudiwe Chidiebere a graduate of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering who is allegedly working with other members of the IPOB and some foreigners to plan a bomb attack on Nigeria’s largest computer market, the Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos.‎ (more…)

Lionsgate Drops $4.4 Billion USD to Purchase Starz Film Channel

Lionsgate and Starz have the dogged determination to become one of the more monumental players in the media industry. In an apparent attempt to keep up with HBO and Netflix, the independent Hollywood studio behind The Hunger Games and the premium cable network recently shook hands on what is apparently one of the most major studio deals in the past ten years. The deal? Lionsgate dropped a hefty $4.4 billion USD to procure Starz, and from the surface, it’s looking like a pretty favorable venture for both. (more…)
