Nigeria moves to 52nd on FIFA ranking

Nigeria moves to the 52nd spot in the latest FIFA ranking published yesterday in Zurich. However, the Super Eagles retained the tenth position in the African continent, not surprising . Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Tunisia and Senegal are the best 5 teams in Africa in that order. The Super Eagles next opponents Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon are ranked 60th and 48th respectively while potential World Cup qualifying opponents Swaziland and Djibouti occupy 135th and 206th positions respectively. Nas Receives W.E.B. Du Bois Medal At Harvard University

​ ​ One of the greatest hip hop artists of all time just received an amazing award,Nas, aka Nasir Jones, was awarded the W.E.B. Du Bois Medal at Harvard University on Wednesday. The award celebrates those who contribute to the human rights, arts, and culture important to the African and African-American community. Harvard also has a Nasir Jones Fellowship, which is given to those working on projects focusing on hip hop’s history and traditions. [news]
