Airtel Africa Is Going NoWhere

Airtel has sent out official press release to refute the story of their possible exit from Africa. Airtel isn’t leaving Africa anytime soon. As a matter of fact, Airtel increased its ownership of Airtel Nigeria in November after purchasing Econet Wireless Limited’s 4.2% shareholding. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time a story of their exit has been published. In 2015, a similar story came up, which Airtel later refuted.   So where are this story coming from, and why do the keep popping up like juicy pimples ?  (more…)

South Africa to legalize cultivation of medical marijuana in 2017

South Africa is on a move to legalize the cultivation of marijuana for medicinal purposes in April 2017. This comes after the Parliament’s health committee accepted to implement the Medical Innovation Bill. A bill which was proposed by late Dr. Mario Ambrosini of Inkatha Freedom Party in 2013.
