Do You Know Tesla Made More Money This Quarter Than All U.S. Oil Companies Made Last Year

Signs of the times. This past quarter, Elon Musk’s Tesla company made a profit of $22 million, while the entire U.S. oil industry lost a total of $67 billion last year, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. This is in part due to the global oil prices falling, as well as humanity’s awakening push for clean, renewable energy. According to the Renewable Energy Institute, the price efficiency of solar technology will be better than fossil fuel by 2025 and will continue to get cheaper and cheaper until that time. (more…)

60% of Boko Haram members are not Nigerians- Chief of Army Staff says

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Buratai, yesterday said judging by the current activities of the Boko Haram terrorists, it has been proven that 60 per cent of the insurgents are not Nigerians. Buratai said this when he received the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Dr Mohammed Ibn Chambas, at the headquarters of the Theatre Command of Operation Lafiya Dole, at the Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri, Borno state. Governor Fayose Celebrates 56th Birthday with Physically Challenged

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti on Tuesday said persons with one disability or the other in the state, especially the literate ones are henceforth to enjoy priority attention by government. The governor, who spoke at a ceremony to mark his 56th birthday at the Government House ground in Ado Ekiti, said he deliberately chose to mark the day with the disabled from across the 16 local governments because of his passion for the downtrodden.
