Instagram's strategy to beat Snapchat at its own game seems to be working. The Facebook-owned social network centered on photos (lol, more like a cool controled CNN) has announced Last week that it has more than 600 million users. The last 100 million of those have signed up in the past six months, which is quite impressive because it took them nine months to go from 400 million to 500 million. (more…)
According to a recent report from Russian news website T Journal, Instagram is testing a live video feature called ‘Go Insta!.’ This latest attribute is limited to Russian users at this time and presumably resides in the app’s Stories stratum. (more…)

According to KGI via 9to5Mac, there will be new features on the iPhone 7, some of which include a new Apple A10 SoC reportedly clocked at 2.4 GHz, up from the 1.85 GHz of the A9. Soon you’ll be able to play even more of your favorite PlayStation games on your PC. Today, Sony took to its PlayStation blog for another major announcement ahead of its September 7 event in New York City: PlayStation Now is coming to Windows PCs. Introduced just last year, the PS Now subscription service offers the ability to stream a library of over 400 games for a monthly fee, meaning you’ll soon be able to play franchises like Uncharted, God of War and Ratchet & Clank on your laptop or desktop.
